"WIDE AWAKE is the second single off of the upcoming record by Not Made By Hands entitled “The Math of Love Unreconciled”. Co-produced by Justin Mathews and Kevin Clay. The record features Justin Mathews, Vocals and Guitars, Billy Brimblecom Jr., Drums (The Creature Comforts, The Start, Black Pool Lights, Summer Breeze), Chris Foley, Bass (Luxury, Canary), Kevin Clay, Synth and Programming (Soundtracks For Wasted Youth, My Little Dog China). The record was engineered by Troy Deaton (Curious Fools) at Foxwood Studios (Nashville, TN) and mastered by Steven Patrick Wilson (Ghosthood, The Class of 98, Julian Skelter).

 

Not Made By Hands is the creative platform of artist, songwriter, producer, priest and social-entrepreneur Justin Mathews.  In his most recent release he weaves thought-provoking indie rock melodies and powerfully poetic lyrics, exploring themes of nostalgic love, loss, faith, mental health, and human connection with profound vulnerability and sincerity.

Mathews lives in Kansas City with his wife and three sons where he also leads Reconciliation Services (RS3101.org), founded Thelma’s Kitchen (ThelmasKitchen.org), co-founded the Social Venture Studio (SocialVentureStudio.com), and serves the community as an Orthodox Christian priest as rector of the Mother Maria of Paris Chapel.
